Terms

These terms cover your use of jerseycitymoldremoval.com and any request you send through it. Using the site means you accept them. Last updated September 21, 2026.

What this site is, and what it is not

This site is an introduction service. We do not carry out the work ourselves and we do not set the price for it. What we do is take your description and your address, work out which kind of job it looks like, and put you in front of vetted local contractors and assessment companies who do the work under their own name, their own insurance and their own agreement with you.

The contract for any work is between you and that company, not between you and this site. They quote it, they schedule it, they perform it and they stand behind it. We are not their agent and they are not ours, and neither of us can accept obligations on the other's behalf.

What that means for price and timing

Nothing on this site is a quotation and no page here names a price. A price is something a contractor gives you after they have seen the property and the written finding, and only that number is real. In the same way, nothing here is a promise about when someone will attend or how long a job will take: that depends on the contractor, the property and the work, and anyone promising it from a website is promising something they cannot see yet.

Sending a request places you under no obligation. You are free to take a quote, to take it elsewhere, or to do nothing at all.

What licensed and insured mean on this site

Where these pages say licensed and insured, it means the companies we introduce hold the licenses and the insurance that genuinely apply to the work they do, checked before we pass anyone to them. It is a categorical statement about them, not a number, a registration or a named scheme, and it is worth being precise about what it covers in this trade.

New Jersey issues no mold license of any kind. The state Department of Health states there are no state certification programs for companies performing mold or general indoor air and environmental health services, so there is no mold assessor license and no mold remediator license for anybody in this state to hold, us included. Any company that tells you otherwise is describing something that does not exist, and you are entitled to ask them which state issued it.

The Department does publish lists of companies that perform mold work in homes. The notice above those lists says in capital letters that the Department does not endorse or qualify the work or services of the private companies on them, so appearing on a list is not a credential and is not presented as one here. The building trades that carry out the repair and rebuild half of this work are a different matter, and they are licensed and insured in the ordinary way, including under New Jersey's home improvement contractor licensing board. Work disturbing painted surfaces in housing built before 1978 is also subject to the federal Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule, which requires the firm doing it to hold EPA firm certification.

Why the assessment and the removal are arranged separately

We will not arrange for one company to both write the finding and sell you the removal. That is the recommendation printed on the header of the Department of Health's remediation firms list, and repeated in its guidance booklet for residents, and it is how this site is built. It is also the practical answer to the fact that in Jersey City the size of the job depends on which side of the ridge the property is on, so the diagnosis is worth more than the labor.

New Jersey does not require this separation. A bill that would has been introduced and sits in its first committee, and it is not law. Until it is, nobody is obliged to arrange it, which is exactly why we say out loud that we do.

The information on these pages

The guides, the local pages and the facts on this site are general information about how water, buildings and New Jersey rules work. They are not a survey of your property, they are not legal advice and they are not a substitute for someone standing in the room. Sourced statements carry a link to the source and the date it was read; sources change and legislation moves, and we correct pages when we find they have moved. Nothing here creates a professional relationship with you until a company you have chosen agrees terms with you directly.

Limits of our responsibility

We take care that this site is accurate and useful, but we do not accept responsibility for the workmanship, conduct, pricing, timekeeping or contractual behavior of a company you engage through an introduction, because those are theirs. Claims about work done belong with the company that did it. Nor are we responsible for loss caused by acting on general information here without having the property looked at. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

We aim to keep the site available and the form working, and we do not promise uninterrupted service. If a request cannot be delivered, the site tells you so on screen rather than pretending it went through, and you should then contact us by phone.

Acceptable use

Use the form for genuine requests about a real property. Do not submit other people's details without their knowledge, do not send automated or bulk submissions, and do not attempt to interfere with the site or with anything connected to it. The text, images and page structure here are ours and may not be copied or republished without permission. We may decline or withdraw an introduction where a request appears false, abusive or outside the area we cover.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of New Jersey, and the courts of New Jersey have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of this site.

Changes to these terms

We update this page when what the site does changes. The version that applies to a request is the one published when the request was sent, and the date at the top of the page tells you which that is.

The $100 credit

We credit $100 against the first job you book through this site. The credit is funded by us, not by the contractor who carries out the work. The contractor quotes and invoices their own normal price for the job; the $100 is credited by us out of the fee we take once the job is booked and quoted, and the contractor is told about the credit when we hand the job over.

One credit per customer per property, on the first booked job. The credit applies once the job is booked and quoted, not to a quotation on its own.

To claim it, mention this offer when you book. Requesting a quote through this site records the offer against your request, and we confirm it with you before the job is booked, so nothing is lost if you forget to raise it first.

The offer is valid through December 31, 2026. The job must be booked on or before that date. We do not set or control the contractor's price, and this credit is not a reduction of that price.
